NOTD: A Very Natural Manicure. :)

Hey guys! So today I decided instead of hiding my nails under a nail color like I usually do, I wanted to have them out on display! But unfortunately, they were looking a bit yellowish from all of the dark nail polish that I often use, so I decided to brighten them up a bit with a nice, very subtle everyday manicure. :) This is so easy to do, and it makes your natural nails look fabulous! :D I will explain the process below, but first here are the before and after pics:
 BEFORE:
 AFTER:
Quite a difference, huh? I just love looking at my nails like this! Makes me want to never polish them a color again, but I know that's not gonna happen haha. :)

So here is what I did...I first started by washing my hands, applying my cuticle oil, then just giving them a quick rinse to wash off the excess oil. Then I applied my Orly Primetime, but this isn't a necessary step. So then I applied my basecoat, then applied a nail whitener over that. If you don't have the primer or the whitener just use a basecoat.

Next I took a really sheer white polish, like really sheer, I think it's actually meant for a natural french manicure. I used one called Washed Down White by CND, and it is described as a warm, sheer color. So with this I just painted two really thin coats just on my tips.

After that I took a really sheer nude/peach color called Soft Layers by Jade. You can use a really sheer french pink color also, this is just what I had. So with this color I just applied one thin coat over my entire nail.

And lastly, just applied my favorite top coat, Seche Vite. This really made my nails shine bright! :D Oh and if you are wanting your nails to have a more natural finish, you can apply a matte top coat instead so it looks more natural. :)

And that's it! Maybe eventually I will film a quick little tutorial on this. :) Hope you enjoyed this, thanks for looking!!

NOTD: China Glaze Skyscraper.

So I got an amazing deal on China Glaze Skyscraper, from the Metro Collection for Fall 2011. I went to my local Sally Beauty and it was on clearance!! The whole metro collection was, and so was the MineralFX collection from Orly. Crazy good deals though! I bought a couple from the Metro collection for $1.99 each, and a few from the MineralFX collection for $3.99 each. I will do a post about my recent hauls here soon. :) But anyway, here is Skyscraper, a really really gorgeous navy blue and silver glitter! Sooo amazing.

I LOVE this color. So gorgeous, I could wear it everyday. :D I will post my hauls sometime soon, and that's it for now! Thanks for looking! :)

Let It Snow Collaboration Design! :D

Hey everyone! So the amazing nail artists Robin Moses and ProfessionalDQ created this collaboration idea, where on Dec. 5th everyone would upload snow inspired nail designs on YouTube. It seemed like an awesome idea, so of course I participated! :D Here is my video tutorial for my design:

And some pics of the final look:

So I had a lot of fun creating a design for this massive collaboration!! I know it's simple, but I didn't have much time, but still happy with the end result. :) Thanks for looking!

NOTD: Orly Au Champagne+Essie Shine Of The Times.

I just can't get enough of Essie Shine Of The Times! Today's NOTD is SOTT over Orly Au Champagne, from the 2011 Holiday Collection. It's a shimmery pearl white, which I actually really love on its own. It's just a very wearable white, doesn't have that white-out look to it. :) So here are some pics of my current mani, this reminded me so much of how an opal looks! Sooo amazing! I tried really hard to get good shots, but it wasn't easy!

So I really enjoyed this look, can't wait to try Essie SOTT over other colors!! Thanks for stopping by! :)

NOTD: Zoya Jana+Essie Shine Of The Times!!

So I have been wearing Zoya Jana for a couple of days, and today I got my hands on a bottle of Essie Shine Of The Times from their new holiday Luxeffects collection!! :D I was sooo excited to get this, it looks like an exact dupe of Sally Hansen Hidden Treasure, which I have seen all over the internet, but I've never had the chance to own it. So I may be getting a backup bottle as well, just in case this becomes hard to find. :) So here it is over my Zoya Jana mani:

So bottom line, I am very happy with this topcoat. I am thinking of getting the other four from the collection, they are just all so gorgeous. :) Thanks for stopping by!!

NOTD: Zoya Jana.

So another Zoya color from the Fall 2011 Smoke and Mirrors Collection. This is Jana, a smoky, gray color with mauve undertones. This is one of those colors that is along the lines of being a nude, but has just a little more to it. Perfect fall color. :)

Thanks for stopping by! :)
